30th of June 2017 Friday

I would like to bring to your attention to  a concert on Friday 30th of June 2017 at St Paul's Church, Barrow-in-Furness at 7:30 p.m.

"A Wand'ring Minstrel: A celebration for Thomas Round",

with Barrow Savoyards and Barrow Male Voice Choir.

Information can be obtained from Margaret Harrison on tel:01229 466069.

The above is a one-off concert being organised by a small group of musicians in the Barrow area (including Margaret) in memory of professional tenor Thomas Round who died in October 2016.

I would like mention that as I was appointed chairman, initially, in the summer of 2006, Thomas also accepted the position of President of Lancaster & District Choral Society,

which he held up to the spring of 2015. I met him on many occasions in his capacity and was always impressed by him as a person.
